Relative Humidity plays tricks on your body. In the summer it can make you feel much hotter than the actual temperature, and it escalates the liklihood of heat stress. For example, if you go walking when the air temperature is a tolerable 85 degrees with the huidity at 90%, it is the equivalent to exercising at 102 degrees.
This chart chows how this works for a range of temperatures and humidity levels. Shaded areas indicate points where exertion may be dangerous.
