ORIGINAL ARTICLE IV – GRAND ASSEMBLIES Section 4.3. Nominations for the elective Officers of this Grand Council shall be made at the Annual Grand Assembly. Nominations may be made in writing to the Grand Recorder after the opening of the Grand Assembly, orally from the floor of the Grand Assembly. The precise hour of the election of Grand Officers shall be announced in the summons to the Grand Assembly. SUBSTITUTE ARTICLE IV – GRAND ASSEMBLIES Section 4.3. Nominations for the elective Officers of this Grand Council shall be filed in the office of the Grand Recorder on or before January 31 of the year in which the Annual Grand Assembly is held. The Grand Recorder shall cause the names of the nominees for each office, arranged alphabetically and identified by Council, to be published and distributed in sufficient quantity to each Recorder of each Council not later than March 15. The Recorder of each Council shall cause the same to be distributed to the Thrice Illustrious Master, Deputy Illustrious Master, and Principal Conductor of the Work and each Past Thrice Illustrious Master not later than April 1. Delayed nominations may be received until the opening of the Annual Grand Assembly for any vacancy unexpectedly occurring in any elective Grand Council Office. A delayed nomination must be submitted to the Grand Recorder in writing bearing the signature of three members of Grand Council and having the signature of the nominee. The precise hour of the election of Grand Officers shall be announced in the summons to the Grand Assembly.
